Finite Element Analysis

Finite element analysis (FEA) breaks down large structures into manageable “building blocks” so that a computer can analyze individual segments and develop a picture of the total response.
Capabilities Include:
  • Linear, materially and geometrically nonlinear
  • Static, dynamic, vibrations, structural dynamics
  • Blast / explosion / high-strain-rate applications
  • Heat transfer and thermal stress analysis
  • Multiple software packages
  • Software development including FEA embedded in custom analysis / design packages
Finite Element Analysis uses include:
  • Guide design processes / validate designsEvaluate failures / problems and develop solutions
  • Optimize designs for weight or similar considerations
Decades of practical experience in applications including:
  • Classical building structures
  • Industrial equipment including rotating equipment, pressure vessels and high temperature applications
  • Aerospace / military structures and systems
