Vice President
Corporate Development
Dr. Gray was named Vice President of Corporate Development in June 2007. In this position, she is responsible for leading Southern Research's efforts in establishing corporate development opportunities and initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, minority investments, technology licenses, and divestitures.
Gray brings to Southern Research more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Her breadth of experience includes management of pharmaceutical research and development, business development, licensing and intellectual property management, and business operations. She has served as a senior executive at companies including Sepracor, Cubist Pharmaceuticals and Elan Corporation. Dr. Gray received her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Illinois Medical Center in 1982, after earning the degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Bucknell University. She is an author on over 20 technical publications and an inventor on more than 30 issued U.S. patents.
