Southern Research Institute welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with other companies, institutions and academic organizations to further the cause of science and to create new business ventures. Schering-Plough

Southern Research has entered into a collaborative research program with Schering-Plough Corporation to discover novel compounds as potential new products to treat infectious disease. Building on leads generated from Southern Research's proprietary compound repository, scientists from both companies interact closely as a drug discovery team in a lead expansion and optimization program. Southern Research Institute will share in intellectual property and receive milestone payments gained from the efforts. Read the news release for more details.

Genome Explorations

Southern Research and Genome Explorations, Inc. have entered into a collaborative agreement to pursue joint development programs in pharmaceutical target identification using gene expression profiling, and to co-market individual and combined services. Genome Explorations, based in Memphis, TN, is a biotech service company composed of a team of scientists with the single focus of providing clients with a 'complete solution' for microarray analysis services and associated bioinformatics using the Affymetrix GeneChip system.

Absorption Systems

Southern Research and Absorption Systems, LP have established a collaborative agreement where Southern Research will provide toxicology and preclinical efficacy models to Absorption Systems' clients. Additionally, Absorption Systems will sell and market the expanded service offering Southern Research provides.

Research Universities

Each year, Southern Research engages in numerous collaborations with scientists and engineers from premier research universities around the world. Creative partnerships are formed and cultivated in order to address challenging scientific and engineering problems.
